Cindy Bai, CPA, CMA, CFM, MBA, is a globally accomplished finance executive with over 26 years of progressively growth international experiences in multinational companies in the US and China. She brings a wealth of expertise with particular strengths in areas such as Chinese company doing M&A in US, post M&A integration and operation management, Financial Planning & Reporting, Manufacturing cost management and controls, global tax planning, US GAAP and Chinese GAAP integration, and Internal controls. Cindy demonstrates proven ability in driving organization growth and in maximizing profits. Cindy is fluent in both English and currently lives in great Los Angeles area.
Cindy was the CFO for Leyard Oversea Operation with $400 million in Revenue and 5 regional operations in Japan, Europe, Brazil, HK and US. She managed all finance works in these operations and drove business growth. Leyard is a world leader in LED Display with $2 billion market cap in China. Located in Los Angeles, Cindy was the key person to successfully acquire two US companies (Planar and Natural Point Inc) with value over $300 million. She set up overseas finance management framework and process. She led the successful integration with cultural difference challenge and drove 80% net profit growth.
Prior to join Leyard, Cindy served as Chief Financial Officer of HBA Inc located in Los Angeles, where she held responsibility for all financial operations for an international corporation over $100 million annual revenue. HBA was acquired by the Chinese Company Gold Mantis and Cindy was the only one sent from China HQ as the majority holder representative to manage this newly acquired company. She brought her USGAAP and China GAAP expertise to help bridge the HQ SEC Reporting requirement. She helped to successfully integrate HBA into parent company, which contributed to HBA’s net profit increase over 40%. Cindy also led the tax optimization project by reducing US dividend tax.
Before HBA, Cindy was Vice President of Finance at Alcoa Inc.’s Asia operation located in Beijing. Alcoa is a world leader in Aluminum industry. Cindy managed all Alcoa Asia’s finance activities. Prior to Alcoa, Cindy was a 20 year Motorola Finance executive where she hold various responsibilities including FP&A director and internal control manager in HQ, supply chain operation controller, manufacture controller, regional finance and accounting controller etc. She had the unique experience working as Senior managers in various locations in both US and China.
Cindy obtained her Bachelors of Economics from Central University Of Finance and Economics in China and she holds an MBA from Arizona State University. Cindy served as Board of Director for a highly respected nonprofit international School in China. Cindy is passionate about building capacities with impeccable integrity in leadership and overall company operation using her unique global experiences.
